Village Meeting
10/28/08 at 15:37:24

Can we post our monthly meetings here?  I would like to request an advance notice of at least 3 days so everyone has an opportunity to clear their schedules for that time/date the meeting is scheduled.  A lot of neighbors work late or have kids in sport activities.  This will allow at least one parent to attend if not both.  An RSVP email would also help to allow having to move the meeting to another location, at last minute, in case all village owners show up Smiley  You never know.  Our homes are on average 1800 square feet.  Not a lot of room for 50 people in one living room Smiley.  We could meet at the common area with a blanket and hot cocoa Smiley

Just a suggestion.  This might bring more people to the meetings...

How long do the village meeting generally last? I'd really like to be there on the 20th, but I'm running a book fair that afternoon from 5:00-7:00.

It would certainly be nice to hear from our Village ellected on this forum.  I know they read it because they have brought it up in conversation on the street...

Hello,
From the Exec. Meeting we attended this Monday, I get the feeling that they are "mostly" not too happy with this site and its approach. I also, my opinion only, think they do not want to open up for debate anything on this forum. Anyone can come to their own conclusions as to why, but I do believe in the CE Covenants, state any Board director, member, officer or agent are all but held harmless from any wrong doing claims or lawsuits out of negligence or willful misconduct. If i have understood this passage correctly then they should be able to speak freely her both for or against items brought up. I agree, that this information sharing medium should be utilized by them and have openly offered it here. even have created as Special Village Moderator category so they could have control over their perspective sections. No bites yet.
Please just attend the BOD Open Meeting Nov. 19th. The 1st step is to control our budget and have a clearer picture of where the BOD is trying to take us. After that maybe the channels of information and communication can broaden to this or there site where it is much more easily obtained by a larger number of homeowners.

Crittergirl,
The meeting on Wed. the 19th, is scheduled to start at 7pm for that portion open to the public.  Historically, it will start later, depending of course on how many due process hearings they have and how long they take or how much other executive session stuff they have to discuss.
As to lenght, 1 min.  max unknown.

Thanks, Ken. I will be there on time on the 20th.
I'd like to attend the Amherst meeting the following night, but it may be too late by the time I can get there.
